To Allie ~ With Love *
  Allie,
I want to tell you something you may never have heard before. I mean, sometimes we can hear something all our lives and never really, really hear it, you know what I mean?
     God loves you!
More than your boyfriend who left, and more than any man ever will. More than you even love your own child. As a mother, I know that's hard to imagine. But God is a single parent too - with one Son (not counting all us adopted ones down here!) - and He loves you so much that He sent that precious Son to die a horrible, tortuous death on a cross. He didn't have to do it. He did it because He wants to spend Eternity with you. And the only way that was possible was for a lamb to be slain - sacrificed - in your stead. Jesus is that Lamb. And you can be one of His lambs, too. With all your sins washed "whiter than snow," it says. Completely Forgiven! Just like it never, ever happened!
The first step to embracing that great promise, however, is admitting your sin (we "all have sinned," the Bible says) - and repentance. Then it says "if we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness."
Nothing we do can buy that. Only God's unmerited mercy and our faith in His substitutionary Sacrifice (Calvary) can buy it. "It's not by works of righteousness which we have done."

Allie, we are living in the last days. Sin has become an acceptable way of life in our society - but God has not changed the rules. If you tell him tonight that you want forgiveness, he can wipe your slate clean. I know, because He did it for me. I'm not the same person I used to be. "If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away, behold, all things become new," Paul says.
One more thing: Your child does have a Father - in heaven. I hope that you will lead him to know that in a very real way.

I sincerely pray that you will open your heart to Jesus tonight. Don't wait! None of us knows how long we have. My 22-year-old brother "had his whole life ahead of him" - till suddenly he was hit by a tractor trailer - and instantly translated into Eternity. An atheist for year, he had just given his life to Jesus Christ.
Won't you surrender your life to Jesus today? What have you got to lose?

"Again, a new commandment I write unto you... because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light..." 1 John 2:8-10
