Death
If you had
only one week to live... |
Death is a part of life. The Bible tells much about it, in
both the Old and New Testaments. Still, to many it remains a mystery.
Following are verses on death and dying. This page is a work in progress. |
Gen
21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against [him] a good way
off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death
of the child. And she sat over against [him], and lift up her voice, and
wept.

the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city

and evil;
Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deu 31:27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?Deu 31:29 For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt [yourselves], and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
