A major manufacturer of children's cereal -- Cheerios, Trix, Total, etc. -- and dozens of other popular family food products, also donates tens of thousands of dollars to Planned Parenthood, the world's largest abortion provider and promoter of contraceptives.
According to grant guidelines posted at General Mills' website, http://www.genmills.com/explore/community/, "the Foundation's mission is to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations that make a distinctive contribution to the quality of life and that strengthen the capacity of communities to solve problems and create opportunities for all citizens." Quality of life? Opportunities for all citizens? What about the unborn?
Included in the Foundation's funding priorities, also posted at the company's website, are "programs that work to strengthen families and promote a safe, nurturing environment for children and youth. Violence prevention initiatives will be favored." Perhaps the company needs to be made aware of just how violent abortion really is.
Acording to publications of The Foundation Center, General Mills has continued to make regular donations to Planned Parenthood for many years. Most recently, grants were authorized to be paid to Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, in Saint Paul for the following amounts/years:
$68,000 authorized: 1996 **
$18,000 authorized: 1995 **
$18,000 authorized: 1994 **
The company has been donating to Planned Parenthood since at least 1989 (oldest records I have).

Who Funds Planned Parenthood |
Why should we care what they do with their
money?
"Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Luke 12:34
In other words, media dedicated enough to a cause to support
it
financially probably also are biased toward that issue in
their reporting.
