The company-sponsored foundation of a popular
manufacturer of children's toys, The Hasbro Children's Foundation has donated
thousands of dollars to the Gay Mens Health Crisis (GMHC) of New York, according
to publications of The Foundation Center.
Specifically, the Hasbro Children's Foundation authorized at least one grant of $10,000 for payment in 1995. Hasbro manufactures many of the world's most popular toys, including: Star Wars™, Scrabble™, Trivial.Pursuit™, Monopoly™, Yahtzee™, Risk™, Battleship™, G.I. Joe™ Action Figures, EasyBake Oven™, Batman™, Action Man™, Mr. Potato Head™. Other corporate donors to homosexual groups include, among others, the RJR Nabisco, General Mills, Pillsbury, AT&T, GTE, Pacific Bell, and many others. The Hasbro Children's Foundation reported assets of $4,480,148 on fiscal date 12/27/97. Total giving for the year came to $2,288,496. |
